Now. If you are like me, when your fav author is coming out with a new book, it amps us your drive to read in preparation for the big day.
When Ilona Andrews was coming out with their last book, I found mine in a the Portlock Paranormal Detective series by Heather G Harris and Jilleen Dobeare.
Wayward Wolf is the first book and follows Bunny, a young woman transformed into a vampire against her will. She escapes to this small town in Alaska, where she meets a whole host of interesting people. Seriously, the character development is top notch.
The best part is, the book is free to KU users.

I highly recommend starting with the prequel novella though, The Vampire and the Case of Her Dastardly Death. It really helps set up the series, and explains a lot of background things you need to know in order to fully enjoy the series.
Since you read this far, I will let you in on a little secret, I am already 10,000 words into Tyr's story. There are some things I still need to figure out. (Being a Pantster means even I don't always know where the story is going to go.) But when they get there, it will be glorious.
Thank you all for reading, and hope you had a great weekend!

As a proud member of the book devouring horde, I completely agree with both Ilona Andrews and Heather/Jilleen as great authors to read! Meanwhile, I just started a re-read of this series to hopefully coincide with the new release; I’m terrible at guesstimating when I’ll finish a series- it depends what else I’m doing as to whether I’ll make it!
And now I’m curious as to what’s going to happen in Tyr’s story, it definitely promises to be intriguing 😊
I just finished my review. Loved the book.
